Why check the PCD before buying wheels?

A wheel must match the vehicle's PCD exactly (for example 5x112 or 4x100): there is no tolerance. The centre bore must equal the hub or be brought down to the right size with a hub centric ring, and the offset (ET) determines whether the wheel sits inside or sticks out of the wheel arch.

Each vehicle page brings together these specs, the fixing type, the tightening torque and the original fitments, plus the list of vehicles that share the same PCD and centre bore.
