Fitting wheels on a GMC Terrain

A GMC Terrain (2010–2018) uses a 5x120 or 5x115 PCD and a centre bore of 66.9 or 70.3 mm. Any wheel must match the vehicle's PCD exactly: there is no tolerance, unless you use a PCD adapter.

  • PCD: 5x120 or 5x115 required. See all vehicles with 5x120.
  • Centre bore: the wheel must have a centre bore of 66.9 mm or more. If it is larger (as with most aftermarket wheels), add a hub centric ring wheel centre bore → 66.9 mm.
  • Offset: the original is ET41 to ET43. Compare your future wheel with the offset calculator (your vehicle is already selected) to see how many millimetres further in or out it will sit.
  • Fixings: thread Ecrous - 14x1.50, tightened to 190 Nm. The nuts or bolts must have the same seat (conical, spherical or flat) as the wheel.
  • Tyres: original fitment is 225/65R17. For another size, check the diameter difference with the equivalence calculator (under 3 % recommended).

Frequently asked questions

What is the PCD of a GMC Terrain?

A GMC Terrain (2010–2018) can have a 5x120 or 5x115 PCD depending on the version: check on an original wheel.

Does a GMC Terrain need a hub centric ring?

The centre bore (hub diameter) of a GMC Terrain is 66.9 or 70.3 mm. A wheel with a larger centre bore is fitted with a hub centric ring that brings it down to the hub diameter. A wheel with a smaller centre bore cannot be fitted.

What offset (ET) for a GMC Terrain?

The recorded original offset is ET41 to ET43 depending on the version and wheel size. A lower ET pushes the wheel outwards, a higher ET pulls it inwards: check wheel well and caliper clearance before making any change.

What tightening torque for the wheels of a GMC Terrain?

The specified tightening torque is 190 Nm for Ecrous - 14x1.50 fixings. Tighten in a criss-cross pattern with a torque wrench and check the tightness again after about fifty kilometres.

Which vehicles have the same PCD as a GMC Terrain?

With the same PCD (5x120) and the same centre bore (66.9 mm), these include: Buick Envision, Cadillac CT5, Cadillac CT5-V, Cadillac CT6-V. Offset, width and rim diameter still need checking for each vehicle.
