Fitting wheels on a Peugeot 308 I

A Peugeot 308 I (2007–2013) uses a 4x108 or 5x108 PCD and a centre bore of 65.1 mm. Any wheel must match the vehicle's PCD exactly: there is no tolerance, unless you use a PCD adapter.

  • PCD: 4x108 or 5x108 required. See all vehicles with 4x108.
  • Centre bore: the wheel must have a centre bore of 65.1 mm or more. If it is larger (as with most aftermarket wheels), add a hub centric ring wheel centre bore → 65.1 mm.
  • Offset: the original is ET27 to ET44. Compare your future wheel with the offset calculator (your vehicle is already selected) to see how many millimetres further in or out it will sit.
  • Fixings: thread M12x1.25, tightened to 100 Nm. The nuts or bolts must have the same seat (conical, spherical or flat) as the wheel.
  • Tyres: original fitment is 195/65R15. For another size, check the diameter difference with the equivalence calculator (under 3 % recommended).

Vehicles with the same PCD and centre bore

Same 4x108 PCD and same 65.1 mm centre bore: wheels from these vehicles bolt on and centre on a Peugeot 308 I without rings. Offset, width, diameter and caliper clearance still need checking.

Frequently asked questions

What is the PCD of a Peugeot 308 I?

A Peugeot 308 I (2007–2013) can have a 4x108 or 5x108 PCD depending on the version: check on an original wheel.

Does a Peugeot 308 I need a hub centric ring?

The centre bore (hub diameter) of a Peugeot 308 I is 65.1 mm. A wheel with a larger centre bore is fitted with a hub centric ring that brings it down to the hub diameter. A wheel with a smaller centre bore cannot be fitted.

What offset (ET) for a Peugeot 308 I?

The recorded original offset is ET27 to ET44 depending on the version and wheel size. A lower ET pushes the wheel outwards, a higher ET pulls it inwards: check wheel well and caliper clearance before making any change.

What tightening torque for the wheels of a Peugeot 308 I?

The specified tightening torque is 100 Nm for M12x1.25 fixings. Tighten in a criss-cross pattern with a torque wrench and check the tightness again after about fifty kilometres.
