Fitting wheels on a BMW X1 F48

A BMW X1 F48 (2015–2019) uses a 5x112 PCD and a centre bore of 66.6 mm. Any wheel must match the vehicle's PCD exactly: there is no tolerance, unless you use a PCD adapter.

  • PCD: 5x112 required. See all vehicles with 5x112.
  • Centre bore: the wheel must have a centre bore of 66.6 mm or more. If it is larger (as with most aftermarket wheels), add a hub centric ring wheel centre bore → 66.6 mm.
  • Offset: the original is ET39 to ET52. Compare your future wheel with the offset calculator (your vehicle is already selected) to see how many millimetres further in or out it will sit.
  • Fixings: thread M14x1.25, tightened to 120 Nm. The nuts or bolts must have the same seat (conical, spherical or flat) as the wheel.
  • Tyres: original fitment is 225/55R17, 205/60R17. For another size, check the diameter difference with the equivalence calculator (under 3 % recommended).

Vehicles with the same PCD and centre bore

Same 5x112 PCD and same 66.6 mm centre bore: wheels from these vehicles bolt on and centre on a BMW X1 F48 without rings. Offset, width, diameter and caliper clearance still need checking.

Will wheels from another vehicle fit your X1 F48?

Choose the vehicle the wheels come from: we compare the hub, then each original wheel to the millimetre.

Frequently asked questions

What is the PCD of a BMW X1 F48?

A BMW X1 F48 (2015–2019) has a PCD of 5x112: 5 studs or bolts spaced around a circle 112 mm in diameter.

Does a BMW X1 F48 need a hub centric ring?

The centre bore (hub diameter) of a BMW X1 F48 is 66.6 mm. A wheel with a larger centre bore is fitted with a hub centric ring that brings it down to the hub diameter. A wheel with a smaller centre bore cannot be fitted.

What offset (ET) for a BMW X1 F48?

The recorded original offset is ET39 to ET52 depending on the version and wheel size. A lower ET pushes the wheel outwards, a higher ET pulls it inwards: check wheel well and caliper clearance before making any change.

What tightening torque for the wheels of a BMW X1 F48?

The specified tightening torque is 120 Nm for M14x1.25 fixings. Tighten in a criss-cross pattern with a torque wrench and check the tightness again after about fifty kilometres.

Which vehicles have the same PCD as a BMW X1 F48?

With the same PCD (5x112) and the same centre bore (66.6 mm), these include: BMW iX2 U10, BMW X2 U10, BMW I5, BMW XM G09 axe arrière. Offset, width and rim diameter still need checking for each vehicle.
