Fitting wheels on a MG MG F

A MG MG F (1995–2002) uses a 4x95.25 PCD and a centre bore of 56.6 mm. Any wheel must match the vehicle's PCD exactly: there is no tolerance, unless you use a PCD adapter.

  • PCD: 4x95.25 required. See all vehicles with 4x95.25.
  • Centre bore: the wheel must have a centre bore of 56.6 mm or more. If it is larger (as with most aftermarket wheels), add a hub centric ring wheel centre bore → 56.6 mm.
  • Offset: the original is ET28. Compare your future wheel with the offset calculator (your vehicle is already selected) to see how many millimetres further in or out it will sit.
  • Fixings: thread M12x1.50. The nuts or bolts must have the same seat (conical, spherical or flat) as the wheel.
  • Tyres: original fitment is 185/55R15. For another size, check the diameter difference with the equivalence calculator (under 3 % recommended).

Will wheels from another vehicle fit your MG F?

Choose the vehicle the wheels come from: we compare the hub, then each original wheel to the millimetre.

Frequently asked questions

What is the PCD of a MG MG F?

A MG MG F (1995–2002) has a PCD of 4x95.25: 4 studs or bolts spaced around a circle 95.25 mm in diameter.

Does a MG MG F need a hub centric ring?

The centre bore (hub diameter) of a MG MG F is 56.6 mm. A wheel with a larger centre bore is fitted with a hub centric ring that brings it down to the hub diameter. A wheel with a smaller centre bore cannot be fitted.

What offset (ET) for a MG MG F?

The recorded original offset is ET28. A lower ET pushes the wheel outwards, a higher ET pulls it inwards: check wheel well and caliper clearance before making any change.

Which vehicles have the same PCD as a MG MG F?

With the same PCD (4x95.25) and the same centre bore (56.6 mm), these include: Lotus Exige S1, Lotus Elise S1, Rover MGF Roadster, Caterham 7 Classic. Offset, width and rim diameter still need checking for each vehicle.
