Fitting wheels on a Daihatsu Hijet

A Daihatsu Hijet (1987–1993) uses a 4x110 or 4x100 PCD and a centre bore of 66.1 or 54.1 mm. Any wheel must match the vehicle's PCD exactly: there is no tolerance, unless you use a PCD adapter.

  • PCD: 4x110 or 4x100 required. See all vehicles with 4x110.
  • Centre bore: the wheel must have a centre bore of 66.1 mm or more. If it is larger (as with most aftermarket wheels), add a hub centric ring wheel centre bore → 66.1 mm.
  • Offset: the original is ET40. Compare your future wheel with the offset calculator (your vehicle is already selected) to see how many millimetres further in or out it will sit.
  • Fixings: thread Ecrous - 12x1.50, tightened to 100 Nm. The nuts or bolts must have the same seat (conical, spherical or flat) as the wheel.
  • Tyres: original fitment is 155/75R12, 155/80R12, 155/65R13. For another size, check the diameter difference with the equivalence calculator (under 3 % recommended).

Frequently asked questions

What is the PCD of a Daihatsu Hijet?

A Daihatsu Hijet (1987–1993) can have a 4x110 or 4x100 PCD depending on the version: check on an original wheel.

Does a Daihatsu Hijet need a hub centric ring?

The centre bore (hub diameter) of a Daihatsu Hijet is 66.1 or 54.1 mm. A wheel with a larger centre bore is fitted with a hub centric ring that brings it down to the hub diameter. A wheel with a smaller centre bore cannot be fitted.

What offset (ET) for a Daihatsu Hijet?

The recorded original offset is ET40 depending on the version and wheel size. A lower ET pushes the wheel outwards, a higher ET pulls it inwards: check wheel well and caliper clearance before making any change.

What tightening torque for the wheels of a Daihatsu Hijet?

The specified tightening torque is 100 Nm for Ecrous - 12x1.50 fixings. Tighten in a criss-cross pattern with a torque wrench and check the tightness again after about fifty kilometres.
