Fitting wheels on a Lincoln Navigator

A Lincoln Navigator (1998–2002) uses a 6x135 or 5x135 PCD and a centre bore of 87.1 mm. Any wheel must match the vehicle's PCD exactly: there is no tolerance, unless you use a PCD adapter.

  • PCD: 6x135 or 5x135 required. See all vehicles with 6x135.
  • Centre bore: the wheel must have a centre bore of 87.1 mm or more. If it is larger (as with most aftermarket wheels), add a hub centric ring wheel centre bore → 87.1 mm.
  • Offset: the original is ET14 to ET44. Compare your future wheel with the offset calculator (your vehicle is already selected) to see how many millimetres further in or out it will sit.
  • Fixings: thread Ecrous - 14x2.00. The nuts or bolts must have the same seat (conical, spherical or flat) as the wheel.
  • Tyres: original fitment is 265/70R17, 255/70R18. For another size, check the diameter difference with the equivalence calculator (under 3 % recommended).

Frequently asked questions

What is the PCD of a Lincoln Navigator?

A Lincoln Navigator (1998–2002) can have a 6x135 or 5x135 PCD depending on the version: check on an original wheel.

Does a Lincoln Navigator need a hub centric ring?

The centre bore (hub diameter) of a Lincoln Navigator is 87.1 mm. A wheel with a larger centre bore is fitted with a hub centric ring that brings it down to the hub diameter. A wheel with a smaller centre bore cannot be fitted.

What offset (ET) for a Lincoln Navigator?

The recorded original offset is ET14 to ET44 depending on the version and wheel size. A lower ET pushes the wheel outwards, a higher ET pulls it inwards: check wheel well and caliper clearance before making any change.

Which vehicles have the same PCD as a Lincoln Navigator?

With the same PCD (6x135) and the same centre bore (87.1 mm), these include: Lincoln Mark LT, Ford Expedition, Ford F150. Offset, width and rim diameter still need checking for each vehicle.
