Fitting wheels on a Dodge Charger

A Dodge Charger (2006–2023) uses a 5x115 or 5x127 PCD and a centre bore of 71.6 mm. Any wheel must match the vehicle's PCD exactly: there is no tolerance, unless you use a PCD adapter.

  • PCD: 5x115 or 5x127 required. See all vehicles with 5x115.
  • Centre bore: the wheel must have a centre bore of 71.6 mm or more. If it is larger (as with most aftermarket wheels), add a hub centric ring wheel centre bore → 71.6 mm.
  • Offset: the original is ET24 to ET49. Compare your future wheel with the offset calculator (your vehicle is already selected) to see how many millimetres further in or out it will sit.
  • Fixings: thread Ecrous - 14x1.50, tightened to 150 Nm. The nuts or bolts must have the same seat (conical, spherical or flat) as the wheel.
  • Tyres: original fitment is 245/55R18. For another size, check the diameter difference with the equivalence calculator (under 3 % recommended).

Frequently asked questions

What is the PCD of a Dodge Charger?

A Dodge Charger (2006–2023) can have a 5x115 or 5x127 PCD depending on the version: check on an original wheel.

Does a Dodge Charger need a hub centric ring?

The centre bore (hub diameter) of a Dodge Charger is 71.6 mm. A wheel with a larger centre bore is fitted with a hub centric ring that brings it down to the hub diameter. A wheel with a smaller centre bore cannot be fitted.

What offset (ET) for a Dodge Charger?

The recorded original offset is ET24 to ET49 depending on the version and wheel size. A lower ET pushes the wheel outwards, a higher ET pulls it inwards: check wheel well and caliper clearance before making any change.

What tightening torque for the wheels of a Dodge Charger?

The specified tightening torque is 150 Nm for Ecrous - 14x1.50 fixings. Tighten in a criss-cross pattern with a torque wrench and check the tightness again after about fifty kilometres.

Which vehicles have the same PCD as a Dodge Charger?

With the same PCD (5x115) and the same centre bore (71.6 mm), these include: Dodge Challenger, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Magnum 4x4, Chrysler 300C. Offset, width and rim diameter still need checking for each vehicle.
