Fitting wheels on a Mercedes Sprinter

A Mercedes Sprinter (1995–2000) uses a 5x130 or 6x130 PCD and a centre bore of 84.1 mm. Any wheel must match the vehicle's PCD exactly: there is no tolerance, unless you use a PCD adapter.

  • PCD: 5x130 or 6x130 required. See all vehicles with 5x130.
  • Centre bore: the wheel must have a centre bore of 84.1 mm or more. If it is larger (as with most aftermarket wheels), add a hub centric ring wheel centre bore → 84.1 mm.
  • Offset: the original is ET62 to ET75. Compare your future wheel with the offset calculator (your vehicle is already selected) to see how many millimetres further in or out it will sit.
  • Fixings: thread M14x1.50. The nuts or bolts must have the same seat (conical, spherical or flat) as the wheel.
  • Tyres: original fitment is 195/70R15, 225/70R15, 235/65R16, 205/75R16. For another size, check the diameter difference with the equivalence calculator (under 3 % recommended).

Vehicles with the same PCD and centre bore

Same 5x130 PCD and same 84.1 mm centre bore: wheels from these vehicles bolt on and centre on a Mercedes Sprinter without rings. Offset, width, diameter and caliper clearance still need checking.

Frequently asked questions

What is the PCD of a Mercedes Sprinter?

A Mercedes Sprinter (1995–2000) can have a 5x130 or 6x130 PCD depending on the version: check on an original wheel.

Does a Mercedes Sprinter need a hub centric ring?

The centre bore (hub diameter) of a Mercedes Sprinter is 84.1 mm. A wheel with a larger centre bore is fitted with a hub centric ring that brings it down to the hub diameter. A wheel with a smaller centre bore cannot be fitted.

What offset (ET) for a Mercedes Sprinter?

The recorded original offset is ET62 to ET75 depending on the version and wheel size. A lower ET pushes the wheel outwards, a higher ET pulls it inwards: check wheel well and caliper clearance before making any change.

Which vehicles have the same PCD as a Mercedes Sprinter?

With the same PCD (5x130) and the same centre bore (84.1 mm), these include: Mercedes G-Classe W465, Mercedes Spinter, Mercedes G-Classe W461, Mercedes G-Classe W463. Offset, width and rim diameter still need checking for each vehicle.
