Fitting wheels on a Mitsubishi Space Star

A Mitsubishi Space Star (1998–2005) uses a 4x114.3 or 4x100 PCD and a centre bore of 67.1 or 56.1 mm. Any wheel must match the vehicle's PCD exactly: there is no tolerance, unless you use a PCD adapter.

  • PCD: 4x114.3 or 4x100 required. See all vehicles with 4x114.3.
  • Centre bore: the wheel must have a centre bore of 67.1 mm or more. If it is larger (as with most aftermarket wheels), add a hub centric ring wheel centre bore → 67.1 mm.
  • Offset: the original is ET46. Compare your future wheel with the offset calculator (your vehicle is already selected) to see how many millimetres further in or out it will sit.
  • Fixings: thread Ecrous - 12x1.50, tightened to 108 Nm. The nuts or bolts must have the same seat (conical, spherical or flat) as the wheel.
  • Tyres: original fitment is 165/65R14. For another size, check the diameter difference with the equivalence calculator (under 3 % recommended).

Vehicles with the same PCD and centre bore

Same 4x114.3 PCD and same 67.1 mm centre bore: wheels from these vehicles bolt on and centre on a Mitsubishi Space Star without rings. Offset, width, diameter and caliper clearance still need checking.

Will wheels from another vehicle fit your Space Star?

Choose the vehicle the wheels come from: we compare the hub, then each original wheel to the millimetre.

Frequently asked questions

What is the PCD of a Mitsubishi Space Star?

A Mitsubishi Space Star (1998–2005) can have a 4x114.3 or 4x100 PCD depending on the version: check on an original wheel.

Does a Mitsubishi Space Star need a hub centric ring?

The centre bore (hub diameter) of a Mitsubishi Space Star is 67.1 or 56.1 mm. A wheel with a larger centre bore is fitted with a hub centric ring that brings it down to the hub diameter. A wheel with a smaller centre bore cannot be fitted.

What offset (ET) for a Mitsubishi Space Star?

The recorded original offset is ET46 depending on the version and wheel size. A lower ET pushes the wheel outwards, a higher ET pulls it inwards: check wheel well and caliper clearance before making any change.

What tightening torque for the wheels of a Mitsubishi Space Star?

The specified tightening torque is 108 Nm for Ecrous - 12x1.50 fixings. Tighten in a criss-cross pattern with a torque wrench and check the tightness again after about fifty kilometres.

Which vehicles have the same PCD as a Mitsubishi Space Star?

With the same PCD (4x114.3) and the same centre bore (67.1 mm), these include: Mitsubishi Lancer 1.3i, 1.6i, Mitsubishi Carisma 1.6, 1.8GDi,1.9TD, Mitsubishi Carisma 1.8i, Mitsubishi Lancer EVO III. Offset, width and rim diameter still need checking for each vehicle.
